The David Simon Family Foundation provides funding to charities focused on children and overcoming poverty. David Simon, CEO of Twin Capital Management, formed the Foundation in 2001 to more directly focus his philanthropic resources to the charitable initiatives he is most passionate about.
Since 1999, Mr. Simon has co-chaired the HELP USA Annual Golf Tournament in Purchase, New York. The golf tournament is chaired by Kenneth Cole and has raised in excess of $6.5 million for HELP USA, which provides homes, jobs and services to America’s homeless. HELP USA breaks the cycle of dependency by addressing underlying causes in a way that respects the dignity of those we serve. HELP USA helps their clients help themselves.
Mr. Simon also co-founded the annual Westchester golf outing for the New York chapter of the Starlight Children’s Foundation. He co-chaired the golf outing for three years with Michael Brown and raised funds to improve the quality of life of children. For nearly 30 years, Starlight Children’s Foundation has been dedicated to children around the globe with chronic and life-threatening illnesses and life-altering injuries by providing entertainment, education and family activities that help them cope with the pain, fear and isolation of prolonged illness.
Mr. Simon is also a supporter of Solving Kids’ Cancer, a non-profit organization that funds research and treatment of childhood cancers. For more David Simon Foundation events click here.
